2019 was not a great year for me, I lost my 89 year-old
Father, Robert, in November. My sister and I helped my 84
year-old mother move twice and we sold the house they had lived in since 1963.
Last week, a sudden business trip took me to Seattle, Spokane,
Coeur d’ Alene, Bozeman and Yellowstone in four long days…
I packed light, two well used Leica M9’s, a 1983 vintage
Canadian 90mm Tele-Elmar and a new TT/Artisans 35mm f1.4
I selected the M9’s (google the Cult of the M9) because the
18MP FX Sensor was the last CCD sensor and rather than
the garish colors we have become used to it renders scenes
like they were shot on Kodachrome film (cue Paul Simon song)
In recent months I have documented the wildfires in the Santiam Canyon area in Oregon on September thru October 2020. With his photos I am selling my prints with some of the sales goes to Santiam canyon wildfire relief fund.
